Rapid Los Altos Tree Services provides residential and commercial tree services in Los Altos, CA and surrounding areas, including but not limited to tree removal, tree trimming, tree pruning, stump grinding, stump removal, land clearing, emergency tree service, and commercial tree service.
All services are performed by our own crew and equipment. We reserve the right to decline any job that we determine poses unreasonable safety risks or falls outside our standard service scope.
All estimates are free and provided after an on-site visit. Written estimates are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless otherwise noted. An estimate is not a binding contract until you authorize the work in writing or verbally confirm the scope with our office.
Final pricing may differ from the estimate if the scope of work changes during the job - for example, if additional hazards are discovered, if the tree is larger or more complex than initially assessed, or if you request additional services. We will notify you of any significant change in cost before proceeding.
Debris hauling, stump grinding, and permit fees may be priced separately from the base removal or trimming cost. Your written estimate will clearly itemize what is and is not included.
We will schedule your service appointment based on crew availability and your preference. We ask that you notify us at least 24 hours in advance if you need to reschedule or cancel. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice may result in a rescheduling fee at our discretion.
We reserve the right to reschedule due to unsafe weather conditions, equipment issues, or other circumstances beyond our control. We will notify you as soon as possible and reschedule at the earliest available time.
Emergency tree services are scheduled on a priority basis and may carry additional fees for after-hours or weekend work. These fees will be disclosed before the crew dispatches.
Before we arrive, please ensure:
If your property requires a city permit for tree removal or trimming under the Los Altos tree ordinance or applicable local regulations, it is the property owner's responsibility to obtain that permit before work begins. We will advise you if we believe a permit is required, but the legal obligation rests with you as the property owner.
Payment is due upon completion of the job unless other arrangements are made in writing in advance. We accept cash, check, and major credit cards. For larger commercial or multi-day jobs, we may require a deposit before work begins - this will be stated in your written estimate.
Unpaid invoices are subject to a late fee of 1.5% per month on the outstanding balance after 30 days. If collection action is required, you agree to pay reasonable collection costs and attorney fees incurred in recovering unpaid amounts.
Rapid Los Altos Tree Services carries general liability insurance and workers compensation coverage. In the event of damage to your property caused by our negligence, our liability is limited to the reasonable cost of repair or replacement of the damaged property, not to exceed the total amount paid for the service that caused the damage.
We are not liable for damage resulting from conditions that were not disclosed prior to the job, including but not limited to hidden underground utilities, irrigation systems, buried cables, or pre-existing structural weaknesses in trees, structures, or hardscape.
We are not liable for damage caused by acts of God, weather events, or conditions beyond our control. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind.
Our services are provided on an "as performed" basis. We do not guarantee specific outcomes for tree health, appearance after trimming, regrowth rates, or the future performance of any tree following our work. Tree health depends on many factors including soil conditions, watering, climate, and disease - all of which are outside our control after the job is complete.
If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our work, contact us within 5 business days of job completion. We will review your concerns and, where reasonable, return to address any deficiencies in the agreed scope of work at no additional charge.
If a dispute arises relating to our services or these terms, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve it informally by contacting us at sales@losaltostreeservices.com or (650) 680-4240. We will make a good-faith effort to resolve any complaint within 10 business days.
If informal resolution is not possible, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Los Altos, CA, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Each party bears its own arbitration costs unless the arbitrator awards otherwise. Class action and jury trial rights are waived to the extent permitted by law.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action not subject to arbitration shall be brought in the courts of Santa Clara County, California.
